About Us

Event History

For 29 seasons Rady Children's Ice Rink has provided seasonal outdoor family fun for the San Diego community while supporting children and families impacted by cancer.  The event began with a vision to bring outdoor ice skating to San Diego and raise funds for pediatric cancer care.  Through a longstanding partnership between Rady Children's Auxiliary, ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station and San Diego Ice Arena, the rink has become a cherished holiday tradition.  Each year, more than 30,000 skaters enjoy the rink, and to date, the event has raised more than $2 million to support the Thriving After Cancer Program at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego.
